Lucner Pierre preaches at the largest church of Christ in Cap Haitian, Grandeur de Dieu, and ministers to many of the churches in the northern region. Lucner also helps Church of Christ preachers prepare their weekly sermons. Lucner’s church saw another 320 baptized in 2012.

Lucner also works to provide spiritual, financial and humanitarian aide beyond his church and across the northern region of Haiti. In recent years he worked with organizations like the US-based Road to Hope Foundation to finalize the school he has been building for a number of years and soon will begin the community gardens and work to make Mathone self-sustaining;

there have been hurricanes, floods, food shortages, cholera and other natural disasters, and with each natural disaster, Lucner is the person that steps in with resources and solutions, oftentimes asking his friends in the United States for help. Food prices have nearly doubled in Haiti making the lives of many even more difficult as they try to find food.

PERU - Lima

Justin & Alison Thompson and their efforts in Lima Peru usher in a new vision for Littleton Church Missions. The hope is to focus Mission dollars in areas where members can play more of an active, hands-on role with the missionaries. Justin & Alison represent one of the first steps in this process. Littleton Church has adopted the Thompson’s and their work in Lima as one of our lead mission efforts. It is hoped that over the coming years as money from Littleton flows to Lima so do our members, youth, Elders and leadership.

Justin & Alison met in high school, dated and eventually married while students at Abilene Christian University. Justin eventually received his Masters of Divinity and Alison a Bachelor of Science in Social Work.

It took several years for Justin & Alison to train and begin work in Lima. By then they were joined by daughter Cailyn Joy, then 2 years old. The Thompson’s had a special, early chance to bond with their new country and its people as she delivered Corban Luke while they were living in Peru. Now 5 and 3 years respectively, both are active parts of the Lima ministry as the Thompson family work to build relationships and trust discipling local Peruvians. On August 10, 2012, Alison delivered their second son Carter, rounding out this special family.

There will be many chances to get to know the Thompson’s and their ministry in the coming years, but feel free to visit them at http://thethompsonfamily.wordpress.com.

FRANCE - Marseille

Marseille, France is blessed with a growing neighborhood church led by two Dauner generations. Teaching in their year-long, full-time intensive discipleship program, Christians on Mission (CEM), as well as teaching in local catholic parishes which are no longer served by resident priests are two of Max’s primary focuses. In addition to her full time public school teaching position, Prisca guides CEM outings, is a Bible camp counselor, teaches Bible to children twice a week, acts as principle teacher for the “Club Cool” children’s outreach, and is a world class English translator. Both Max & Prisca are integral to the Marseille chorus which is a successful community outreach.

With a Master’s of Divinity degree, Philippe has served as the Fuveau Chapelle full-time pulpit minister since 2005. French born and raised, Philippe effectively connects with the Marseille community. Dolores is the church secretary and director of their annual two week summer camp held at the Bonnefoi Mountain Retreat Center serving children throughout Europe. Philippe and Dolores serve a key role in mentoring Marseille youth and are active in the one-year Christians on Mission internship they both attended as students are also discovering the joys of sharing the gospel with other parents at the kindergarten across the street from church.

GERMANY - Hildesheim

Don and Cindy Roehrkasse moved to Hildesheim many years ago to establish a church in a country that is predominantly Lutheran and Catholic. While most citizens are suspicious of religious groups, the church has grown from only a handful of people to an average of 35-40 meeting together on Sundays. They have developed an active youth group for teens and pre-teens and lead a number of retreats and seminars for families, women, and children. Don, together with Kyle Bratcher, has also taken on the responsibility of organizing continuing education seminars with professors from the States. Cindy is receiving training in counseling, as many who come to the church are from broken homes.

Kyle and Susan Bratcher have been missionaries in Hildesheim, Germany for over 18 years. Together with the Roehrkasses, the Bratchers spread the good news in northern Germany. Their main objectives are teaching the gospel in Hildesheim through individual and group Bible studies, firmly grounding our faith family and encouraging them in their own outreach, leading marriage seminars, providing marriage and family counseling, and reaching out to seekers through relationship and various activities. In the past few months, God has brought three new family units to our church, which is exciting after having lost several members and teens to moves and university studies. They bring with them a whole new set of outreach possibilities! Erzählet unter den Heiden seine Ehre, unter allen Völkern seine Wunder.— Psalm 96:3.
