4G & Mission
Gather • Grow • Give • Go
This is the spiritual growth process at Littleton Church, and what it means to be a member here. We invite everyone into each of these areas, and believe that the more you are involved then the better your odds of walking into the fullness of the Christian life that Jesus calls us to.
Here is a brief explanation of each area.
Gather in worship.
Grow through Small Groups, Classes, and personal study and disciplines.
Give of your time, talent, and treasure.
Go make disciples.
We believe God has called us into his mission in the world. The Littleton Church is made up of a group of people who seek to love God and go love people.
Jesus' mission included:
The Great Commandment
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments." -Matthew 22:37-40
The Great Commission
"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." -Matthew 28:19-20
Reaching the next generation for Jesus while being transformed into His likeness.
The leaders of the Littleton Church have laid out two key areas of focus as we pursue God's vision for our community:
1. Reaching the Next Generation - Every generation of the church is tasked with passing the baton of faith to the next generation. However, the church in North America is experiencing a noticeable decline in the number of young people who are committing their lives to Jesus. We, at Littleton, seek with God's help to reverse that trend.
2. Spiritual Growth - No matter where you find yourself on your spiritual journey, we are all expected to grow. At the Littleton Church, we want everyone, from unbelievers to those who have grown up in Christ, to attain the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
We have 4 ways to carry out our vision we call 4G: Gather, Grow, Give, Go
What We Believe About...
We believe there is one God, eternally existing in three persons.
Romans 8; Ephesians 1:13-14
We believe that God, out of love for his children, sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins, and rise from the dead.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
We believe the Holy Spirit is completely God. The Spirit empowers, gives gifts, and sanctifies us back into the image of God.
We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God and is the final authority in life and doctrine.
2 Timothy 3:16
We believe that salvation is a free gift of God. The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. All have sinned, but all can be saved. This salvation is available for any who put their trust in Christ as Savior.
Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; John 3:16
We believe that those trusting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized.
Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38
We believe the church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue the task on reaching the lost and discipling the saved, helping them become fully devoted followers of Christ.
We believe in the power of prayer.
James 1:5; James 5:16; 1 John 5:14
